Benefits of Membership
Membership in Miami Metal Clay Artists Chapter has many benefits. Our members network with each other to share ideas in metal clay, and related metal and mixed media to use in their metal clay work. We get together monthly to discuss new techniques, and encourage each other with demos and hands on activities. Our goal is to grow and invite other members into the chapter who will become friends, and to learn and share ideas with them.
The members of MMCA pay local dues of $30.00. Membership in the Art Clay Society is required to participate in the local chapter, but ACS national members who live in S. Florida are not required to be part of the MMCA local chapter. Our local chapter is brand new, and going through some typical growing pains. Originally we were an Art Clay Society local chapter, but have decided to become a dual chapter with PMC Guild also. Some of our members are also members of PMC Guild. PMC Guild does not require membership to the national or local chapter. There are many benefits of being a member to one or both of these. Currently we ask that if a local member is not a member of ACS or PMC national chapters, that they become a member of Art Clay Society USA. Dues are paid to ACS for $35.00 a year. Membership in ACS will enable us to participate in chapter based projects such as posting pictures to the ACS website and participating in the Metal Clay World Conference activities and showcase.
